recycling

you can either have your fire extinguishers refilled, or you can bring them to the free household hazardous waste dropoff at eh county central landfill

fire extinguishers can still be considered hazardous waste.

fire extinguishers should not be thrown in the trash.

for free and safe deposal.

older fire extinguishers containing carbon tetrachloride are hazardous to human
health and the environment.carbon tetrachloride is very toxic, and when used on a fire also results in a toxic gas. the contents of today's common fire extinguishers are not hazardous. however, they are still a cylinder under pressure which is a disposal hazard because they have the potential to explode and cause serious injuries to sanitation workers, damage waste hauling vehicles, or waste processing facilities. even if they are empty,

the history of veterans day

Veterans day, formerly armistice day was originally established to preserve the moment when hostilities between allied nations et germany during world was I ceased.  That  moment occurred during the 11^th hour on November 11, 1918, et is generally regarded as the end of “the war to end all wars.”  In november 1919, president Wilson proclaimed November 11^th as the first commemoration of armistice day with the following words; “to us in America, the reflections of armistice day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service et with gratitude for the victory…” after world war II, this day evolved to celebrate et honor all veterans, while keeping the historical significance of the date intact.  Please take time out on November 11^th to honor america’s veterans for their love of country et willingness to serve et sacrifice for the common good of our people.

We thank you! I thank you;}
